HUMAN RIGHT'S FORUM

    Human rights are rights of exceptional importance and every human being is entitled to these rights. The essence of human rights is contained in the following- right to life, right to liberty, and the right to pursuit of happiness. These rights are inalienable i.e. these rights cannot be taken away. The rights of human beings include right to expression, right to information, right to be equal before law, right to citizenship, right to be treated equally, right against discrimination, right to pursue one’s cultural practices, and write to work. Human rights violation takes place in the form of discrimination based on gender, race, culture, orientation, religion, nationality, education and profession.      The purpose of the committee in the college is to ensure that students are enlightened on the need to ensure that all humans are guaranteed these rights. Students, being the budding future citizens, need to be aware of how these rights are violated and should understand that these rights are a reality for one and all. Keeping this in view, the Human Rights Forum organises seminars, debates, invited lectures etc to make the students conscious of human rights and its violations They are also taught on how to respond to situations where these rights are violated.
