NATURE CLUB

    Nature Club of the college works with the aim of inculcating ideas of sustainable development and protection of the ecosystem. To invest in nature is the responsibility of younger generation. The campus is rich in its biodiversity with different species of flora and fauna. Various activities are conducted to motivate students to appreciate the wonders in nature and thereby encouraging them to participate in conservation initiatives. Awareness programmes on protection of environment and eco-friendly waste management are organized by the club. Activities include nature education camps, exhibition, planting of tree saplings, painting competition, presentation competition and quiz competition. International and national days of environmental significance like ‘World Environmental Day’, ‘Ozone Day’ and ‘Science Day’ are also observed by the club.

OBJECTIVES

• To develop awareness on the significance of nature and sustainable development.
• To encourage students to explore innovative ideas for the protection of nature.
• To make students aware about various emerging and prevailing diseases and their preventive measures.
• To help students learn facts related to nature, ecosystem and biodiversity by conducting different activities.
• To inculcate the habit of analysing the impact of human interference in nature while taking decisions.
• To provide scientific knowledge related to nature and ecosystem.
