NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME

     The National Service Scheme is a central sector scheme of Government of India. The motto of the NSS is “NOT ME BUT YOU”. The National Service Scheme of Sree Narayana College, Punalur plays an important role in developing the personality and overall grooming of the students. It makes its presence felt through many activities conducted in and out of the college. The college, having two NSS units with 200 volunteers, plays an active role in shaping the students into socially humane and responsible citizens. The NSS volunteers, who are socially committed and talented are the pride of the institution and asset to the society. The overall aim of the NSS unit of the college is personality development of students through community services. The various activities of the units include planting tree saplings, conducting blood donation camps, awareness classes on current themes, personality development programmes, surveys, cleaning programmes etc. The NSS activities are conducted by the unit under the guidance of the Programme Officers; Mrs.Simi.B.S and Dr.Divya Jayan.
